About Us
Daniela Gillis
Daniela began her initial training with Diana Reyes and continued her full time studies in Spain at the Amor De Dios Studios in Madrid where she trained intensively under Ana Romero, La China, Carmela Greco, La Tati and Timo Lozano.
She has been performing professionally since 1997 at various venues and festivals in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle and Wollongong.
In 2001 she was invited to perform with Flamenco Vivo Productions, under the direction of Antonio Vargas (Strictly Ballroom), in an experimental production of ‘La Casa De Bernada Alba’, at the Bangarra Dance Theatre, Sydney to outstanding acclaim.
In 2002 she co-produced and performed in the Canberra National Multicultural Festival production of ‘Una Noche’ as part of the now defunct Metro Flamenco. Its resounding success prompted an invitation by the festival producers to present ‘Encuentro Flamenco’ in 2003.
During May - June 2006 she completed her third study trip to Spain taking classes at the Amor De Dios studios in Madrid with Inmaculada Ortega, La Truco and Ana Romero.
She formed Flamenco Women Productions with Ana Otero in September 2003 and has since then produced and performed in six outstanding productions:

Daniela created Cositas Flamencas with fellow flamenco artists Ana Otero and Tomás Dietz in 2009 and has since then produced and performed in the following outstanding productions:
